To whet your appetite, here’s an excerpt from Wanton Needs, the latest book in the Falk McCoy Mystery series:
He coughed up some blood. “Are you going to get me a doctor,” he said, “or are you going to finish me.”
The faces of the few men I had killed in my lifetime flashed through my brain. I wanted to simply walk away, but the little voice in my head told me I would regret it later. I walked to where he lay, put the barrel of the pistol near his temple. He didn’t show fear.
“Finish me,” he said.
“Aren’t you afraid to die?” I said.
“Men like us shouldn’t be afraid to die,” he said.
I stepped away to avoid the blood splatter and finished him.

I just heard that those books, “Death of a Dead Man” and “FAKER” are in the Daytona Beach Regional Library. These people know good stories when they see them! If you haven’t read either book, please check it out!
Did you get that? That was a play on words. Check it out! Please!
Well, I see that this blog is up and running. Now we can talk. Have you read, Death of a Dead Man? I thought it was a pretty accurate account of that case. I’m cautiously glad that I hooked up with that writer. I don’t have much time to read these days. I’ve been inundated with new cases. But I will always make time to read this series of books because, well, they are about ME!
